Lameness and Foot trimming

With James Ryder and experienced foot trimmer Tom Vaughan a CHCSB foot trimmer.

Includes 6 hours of practical training

  • Course date – 24/25th June 2026
  • Venue – West Woodlands Showground, Frome
  • Day 1: (9.30am-4pm) Theory session followed by practical
  • Day 2: (9.30am-3pm) Morning practical
  • Course fee £500 ex VAT (25% discount for Proactive Farmers)
  • Lunch and refreshments provided

Each delegate will receive their own set of knives and nippers to take home, plus a certificate of attendance and eligibility for Dairypro points. Blocking and knife sharpening will be covered.

Kidding & Unpacking Workshop

With Katie Reynolds

Join us for a hands-on Alpaca & Goat birthing day, packed with practical advice and demonstrations.

Youngstock Rearing Course

With Georgina Doel & Emily Nail

An interactive course for anyone wishing to learn more about calf rearing

  • Venue – Wyvern Farm Vets, followed by on-farm practical
  • Time – 9:30am – 4pm
  • Course fee £125 – 25% off for Proactive Farmers

Ideal for sheep owners who would like to refresh or learn new skills.

Dairy Benchmarking

Maximising Dairy Farm Efficiency by benchmarking performance and managing vet spend.

AI course

Open to anyone who would like to refresh or learn how to perform AI in their own cattle.

Milksure

First Aid Course
