100 years of farm veterinary provision in Frome
The partnership of Wyvern Farm Vets (previously known as Garston Vets) in Frome was established over 100 years ago, during which time, farm veterinary practice has changed a great deal. Wyvern Farm Vets may have grown a lot over the years but we’ve always committed to investing in our people and our facilities, to ensure we can continue to provide the best farm veterinary services in the area.
Modern farm practice is all about prevention rather than cure. Herd Health Programmes are aimed at maintaining a healthy herd or flock rather than trying to treat problems as they occur, although, individual animals are still treated to help them recover to full production as well as safeguard their welfare at all times.

You’ll still find our farm vets going out at 3:00 am to calve cows and lamb ewes whatever the weather, and we pride ourselves on the personal service and rapid response that our clients have become used to.
